I’m Ellayah May, a Bristol-based artist, writer, and facilitator. I create work and spaces that help people feel seen, curious, and held — blending play, reflection, and insight. My practice sits between joy and evaluation, imagination and method, intuition and intention.
Through drawing, writing, and workshops, I explore how creativity can shift mindsets, reconnect communities, and open space for care.
I’ve always used art to make sense of things words can’t reach. Over time, this grew into a practice that blends illustration, writing, and facilitation.
My visual work is colourful, whimsical, and intuitive, often reflecting the small details that make life tender. My writing is reflective, playful, and honest — a space to process and communicate. Facilitation is where I step back and serve, designing workshops that centre care, curiosity, and collective insight.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal: to help people feel seen and create space for mental shifts — whether you’re exploring your own creativity or challenging the systems around you.
